OUR MISSION
Homeward Bound Marin is the primary provider of Marin County homeless shelters and services for homeless families with children in Marin. 13% of residents are under 18 years old.
What is the organization's general Purpose?
Homeward Bound was founded in 1966, Novato.
The organization provides family housing, food assistance, counseling, parenting workshops, tutoring, children's activities, childcare with Head Start, homework help, job training (including a culinary school and catered event space), and aid to parents and adults in finding long-term housing.
Their motto is: “opening doors to safety, dignity, hope, and independence”.
Supports 67 families in subsidized family apartments and 9 families in the Family Center (Oma Village) transitional shelter in San Rafael.
