After school teen community space located inside San Rafael’s Northgate Mall supporting social-emotional, cognitive, academic and career development
What is the organization’s general purpose?
Karma Club was founded in 2023 in San Rafael.
Supports social-emotional, cognitive, and academic development along with career readiness.
An essential resource for underserved Marin County teens aged 13-19, Karma Club is an innovative solution that promotes social health and positive youth development. It fosters a sense of belonging and real-life social connectedness with teen peers.
Karma Club helps underserved students achieve academic success through tutoring, classes, and funding of AP exam and college application fees.
Serves 50-70 teens per day, open daily 2pm-6pm. Has served over 1,000 teens in 18 months.
PROGRAMS INCLUDE:
Tutoring from Branson and Dominican College students, career readiness programs, and a gender equity course.
Middle school after-school enrichment program.
Food pantry for teens to bring free groceries home.
Free clothing “store” created by a group of Terra Linda High School students.
